I am an animal lover
and a dog whisperer
but don’t take my word for it…

37 years with my own pets
10 years of fostering rescues
9 years of pet sitting

Just ask Neela, my soul dog.
I spent half my life with this spunky ginger retriever pictured here. Neela passed away 3 years ago at 17 years and 2 months old, and honestly I’m still devastated. She was the happiest dog that ever was. This photo was taken of her *running* at almost 16 years old.
Hospice caring for her in her last couple months gave me some special skills and experience that better equips me to care for my client’s senior dogs. I have also cared for diabetic animals and farm animals like horses, pigs, chickens, and goats.
I’m a 37 year old entrepreneur who works from home. My partner James is a nurse at Penticton Regional Hospital. Our only “kid” is a 5 year old greyhound-pitt mix named Bandit. Bandit thinks other dogs are the coolest, as do I.

“…As someone who travels often and sometimes for 6-8 weeks at a time, I cannot say enough about the feeling of deep security that Lindsi’s dog sitting services have given me over the years. I do not spend a single moment worrying about whether my boys are safe & well loved, because not only do I get plenty of video footage showcasing wagging tails on hikes and sleepy cuddle puddles from Lindsi, but my dogs always come home looking more relaxed and content than they did when I dropped them off with their favorite sitter in town. Lindsi has been a blessing to our family and I simply cannot endorse her services enough…”

“Lindsi is the best pet sitter ever–for real. We have a high maintenance, nervous rescue dog who needs a lot of attention and love. He gets all that and more from Lindsi. When he’s with Lindsi we have no concerns or anxieties as she is so professional and gifted with animal care. (She’ll also text you photos when you’re missing your beloved four legged)”

Roxy
“Lindsi is the absolute best! There are not enough words that can really explain how thankful we are. She has had our big beautiful girl Roxy many times. Every time we leave, we know she’s with someone who loves her as much as we do. It’s so comforting knowing that Lindsi is the one she’s with while we’re away. She will pick Roxy up at our house so she feels like she’s going on an adventure rather than us just leaving her. Lindsi even sends picture and video updates almost daily. She truly is a dog whisperer.”

When caring for senior dogs, I know their comfort and safety require special attention. With my own sweet Neela having lived to 17, I learned to adjust every aspect of her routine as she aged. (I even tried those sticky paw grip pads–but she absolutely hated those!) I made her homemade golden paste for years to help with inflammation, researched the best CBD tinctures for her pain, and provided her with assists across slippery floors or stairs when they couldn’t be avoided. I also lifted her in and out of vehicles the last few years to protect her aging joints. When I pet sit senior dogs, I carefully monitor for signs of discomfort, changes in bathroom habits, and slippery surfaces. Whether your pet needs daily supplements, gentle support for arthritis, or just a little extra patience, I have immense empathy for their needs. Read more about my experience with senior dogs.
I have 10 years of experience fostering anxious rescue dogs who have often come from some of the worst conditions imaginable, and I have a knack for calming these rescues and helping them learn what safety feels like. Caring for anxious pets begins with respect and patience—whether your dog has separation worries, noise sensitivity, or one of the other unique challenges many rescue animals face. I tailor my approach to each pet’s comfort: allowing slow introductions, reading body language, and creating a safe, predictable environment. I’m sensitive to special instructions around crate training, reactive behaviors, and managing fears of thunder or new people. Whether your pet needs less stimulation, extra reassurance, or just someone who won’t force interaction, my goal is always their safety and comfort—so every anxious dog or cat feels secure in my care.
If your dog is blind, deaf, a tripod, diabetic, or undergoing medical treatments, you know ordinary pet sitting isn’t enough. I have direct experience administering insulin, managing heartworm protocols, and supporting gentle exercise so your special needs pet stays safe and happy. I have also spent a decade fostering rescue dogs, including ones that were blind, deaf, injured, and even tripods. Whether it’s extra patience for new environments, creative play for sensory loss, or critical medication monitoring, I understand what’s required. Read more about my experience with animals with special circumstances here.
Sometimes the cats and dogs have farm animal siblings, and I’ve pet sit them too. Over the years, I have done numerous house sits for chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, horses, and even a tortoise! I have also raised my own chickens before, and while I am no expert at tending to large farm animals, I do follow instructions well and am happy to discuss your situation to see if I would be a good fit.
